unfortunately I edited my post during it was answered, so I hope its not considered spam if I quote it:

a) The rules say that if I (tried to) conquer a city, I can place one of my markers for each enemy I defeated. Does this include defeated rampaging enemies which I provoked/challenged to the fight (and thus haven't been stationed in the city)?

b) It is stated that if I defeat all enemies, I gain reputation for the rampaging ones. Does this mean I will not get rep if I defeat the rampaging enemy but not every defender of the city?

"a)" has been answered "No.", but it would still be nice to have a reference for that in the rules (if there is one).

Furthermore, I did not exactly understand the following existing entry in the FAQ:

Q: Can cards which generate Influence be played when not interacting.
A: Yes. As Influence can be sometimes used for other things (Diplomacy, Learning, etc.) However, you cannot just play a card that generates Influence unless you are actually doing something that needs influence.

So what can I do now? I understand that e.g. if I am in a village, I can play as many influence cards as I want, without actually using them (just as with movement). However, if I do this, then my action for this round is "interaction", so I cannot fight in this turn. Vice versa, if I want to fight this round, I am not allowed to play interaction cards.

But what if I am on an "empty" spot of the map (e.g. some forest, the portal...). Is it then possible to play interaction cards (i.e noble manners, to gain the fame), even if there is actually nothing to interact with? Of course, this would deny the possibility of fighting this round.

Thanks in advance
